We begin each term by setting individual learning goals that are SMART - that's Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and within a Time frame. We then think about the steps that we need to take in order to achieve our goals. We love to challenge ourselves. Go hard and reach those goals Room One!

| What's on in Term One:
We begin the year by getting to know one another and the expectations of both teachers. We will start the term with a unit about what makes us unique - "Taonga". We will focus on where we come from and what makes us who we are. The students will have homework that is specific to this unit of work. There are two mathematical foci for the term; Addition and Subtraction then Statistical Investigation. We have a busy and action packed term that finishes with the celebration of Holy Week in preparation for Easter.
THINKERS KEYS We will be introducing Tony Ryan's Thinkers Key to our students this year. This is a serious of thinking processes that engage students and support the use of thinking and problem solving.
