On The First Day…
Come with your child to the classroom, see the teacher along with him/her, and by your own actions, convey the idea that you take if for granted that he/she will be interested and happy.
Leave him/her with the teacher in quite a manner-of-fact way, by telling your child when and where you will be meeting them after school to take them home.
