Kia ora.
Welcome to Room 12 at St Joseph's Catholic School, Fairfield.
We are the world's most keen readers. We love to read, read, read. When we are not reading we're often thinking really deeply. We are good problem solvers.
Below you can see the treaty that we have agreed to. We had to think and discuss ways that we could help each other to learn best in Room 12.
Here you can see some of the talented, wonderful workers that are in Room 12. As you can see we have been doing more thinking about the qualities that we all have to share.
We begin the day and we end the day with prayer in Room 12. The children share their own prayers and intentions as well as the traditional prayers of our faith.
If you visit us in Room 12 we hope you will find us loving and learning as Jesus would want us to do.
We followed these pictures of Holy Week in our class before the holidays. We wrote and dramatised these events each day.
During Easter this year we had a craft session when we made angels. The angels remind us of Jesus' resurrection when the angels told the women not to be afraid.
During term 2 we have been learning about Saints. Here you can see our posters about four of our favourite Saints (Saint George, Saint Teresa of Calcutta, Saint Andrew, Saint Margaret of Scotland). We decided to
make our key question " What makes a person a Saint?" Then we gathered information to find answers to our question.
We loved the story about Saint George and the dragon. Take a look at our dragons...
God bless you.
