ENVIRO MATTERS REPORT

On Wednesday 13 June 2007 three students from St Joseph's Catholic School, Fairfield, Mitchell, Abby and Alex and  Mr McPhillips were privileged enough to take part in an interview for Hamilton community radio.

We arrived at the ASB building at the end of Collingwood Street at about 4:20pm.  Maxine Fraser (the host of the interview) then took us through a plan of the night. We were then taken into a small recording room and at 5:00 pm we were on air. Maxine started us off by asking Mr McPhillips questions about our school. She then asked us questions about our Enviroschools project and our sustainable garden.  She was very interested in what we have been doing in our small school.  It all went very quickly and smoothly and with only a few three minute breaks. Before we knew it, it   was almost over. We had already been on air for 57 minutes! There was only 3 minutes to go!

It was very exciting to have the experience of sharing our knowledge with many other people. After all that hard work Mr McPhillips treated us to Burger King.

We were very lucky to have been able to have this experience and look forward to doing it again some day.
