Proprietor's Representative
I am honoured to serve as a Proprietor’s Representative on the St Joseph’s Board of Trustees. I am a Lawyer, with Masters Degrees in Industrial Labour Relations and Social Sciences, and Baccalaureate degrees in Psychology and Law. I have worked in a commercial environment as a Human Resources Consultant and as an Employment Lawyer.
I was on the Child and Family Policy Team at the Ministry of Social Development working primarily on the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child and liaising with other government agencies reviewing child-based legislation. I also held a faculty position in the Department of Human Development at Cornell University, New York for 4 years.
I am married to Tim, and we have 4 children, 3 who attend St Joseph’s and one who will start in 2012. I am an active member of St Joseph’s Parish, a member of the Parish Pastoral Leadership Team and I also enjoy co-ordinating the Parish Children’s Liturgy. I have tribal affiliations to Ngati Porou, Ngariki, Te Arawa, Tuhoe and Moriori.
I am passionate about education and view my role on the BOT as representing the Proprietor and supporting the unique special character of the school. I am highly motivated in ensuring that St Joseph’s continues to provide the best opportunities for the academic achievement of our children.
