Below are the people in the category named Board Members.
Parent Representative
I am a Kindergarten Teacher with 13 years experience in the Early Childhood sector. I am married to Neil, mother of Libby (year 5) and Kate (year 2) who both attend St Joseph's Catholic School.
I was elected to the St Joseph's Board of Trustees in 2007 and have the priviledge to work alongside an excellent teaching team and other very supportive Board Members. I have attended every meeting to date and have freely participated in dicussions, debate and decision making.
I thoroughly enjoy being involved in all aspects of what the Board of Trustees is responsible for and have found this to be continually challenging and rewarding.
Collette McConnell
Parent Representative
" I have been a trustee at St Joseph's since 2002. This is a privilege, and I enjoy working with a committed and competent team. Our eldest child completed his eight years at St Joseph's at the end of 2007, and our other two sons are students in Years 5 and 7. I am heartened by the happiness of the children in the playground, and that the staff appreciates and supports each child's strengths. My hope is that the Board sustains encouraging development in all areas of the school - with a foundation of values based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, lived in the tradition of the Catholic faith community. Paul Flanagan"
Treasurer
I have been elected on to the Board of Trustees as a parent representative since March 2006. I am currently serving on the executive committee of the Board as Treasurer. I have a daughter attending the school in Year 5. As both a member of the Board and a parent, I am very proud to be involved in a school which values high standards and encourages students to challenge themselves in all aspects of learning. I also value the school community which consists of the children, parents, staff, PTFA, Board and Parish all of whom work extremely hard towards the same goal of enabling all students to reach his or her potential and in providing education in a safe and nuturing environment in keeping with the special character of our school. Cheryl Green
Chairperson
I have three daughters who have or are attending St Joseph's, Emma who is attending Victoria University, Abby in Year 9 and Kristy in Year 5. I have been on the board at St Joseph's for the last 8 years and have found this experience very enjoyable. I see this as a way in which I can use my experience within the education sector to support the children and school within our parish. During this time I have been involved in a number of projects that have helped to continue the development of St Joseph's and the employment of staff as part of the personnel committee.

I also held a faculty position in the Department of Human Development at Cornell University, New York for 4 years.
I am married to Tim, and we have 4 children, 3 who attend St Joseph’s and one who will start in 2012. I have a long and established relationship with the school community and parish. My own children have been, and are still a part of the school community as well as members of my extended family. I am the staff representative on the school Board of Trustees. I am new to the position, beginning my term in 2010. I have been a teacher at the school since 1997 and have seen many changes occur over this time. I am currently the syndicate team leader in Year 3 and 4 but spent many years as the New Entrant teacher teaching all the brand new five year olds.
